Democratic Women’s Club endorses Buttenschon for Assembly

The Democratic Women’s Club of Oneida County has endorsed Assembly candidate Marianne Buttenschon.

Buttenschon is running for the 119th Assembly District seat. Democrat Anthony J. Brindisi, who is running for Congress, represents the district.

“This action by the Democratic Women’s Club of Oneida County is important. These Democratic Women comprise one of our party’s most enduring and principled institutions. They fight for Democratic Party platforms and champion justice and equality for every citizen,” Buttenschon said.

“The Democratic Women’s Club has always encouraged greater participation of all women in politics. Because of them, times have changed for the better,” the Assembly candidate said.

Buttenschon added, “They have consistently done the hard work and they have consistently done the right thing.”

The Democratic Women’s Club also gave its vote of confidence to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, County Clerk Sandra DePerno and Family Court Judge candidate Jessica Reynold-Amuso.

Democrat Christopher J. Salatino has also announced his candidacy for the seat.

The 119th Assembly District includes the cities of Utica and Rome, and the towns of Floyd, Frankfort, Marcy and Whitestown.
